Part of Fotomon application suite.
Fotobot application collects data from photovoltaic plants. Data are read from Fronius invertors over RS485 bus and then written to database. Data are provided using simple web interface in XML format. Data are analyzed and monitored with Fotomon.
Application is created in C++ with emphasis to speed, reliability and the simple configuration. No external database nor database server are needed in hosting computer, everything is built in the application.
Application is running on few tens of photovoltaic plants over Europe and collects data from thousands of invertors.
To install the application you need the QT development environment. Once the application is compiled you can create installation package for Debian and derived distributions (Ubuntu). We did not tried it but we believe that it would be possible to build the application in Windows.
